Dana Elkun, MFA
Dana is new to Colorado from Seattle where she's been teaching writing for the past 7 years, including courses at University of Washington, Richard Hugo House, The Field Seattle and King County Juvenile Detention Center. She spent the spring in Tucson this past year to teach a course at University of Arizona Poetry Center.
Dana received her MFA from University of Washington and was a national finalist for the Ruth Lilly Fellowship in 2003. Her poems have appeared in many literary journals, including Bellingham Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, MARGIE and Puerto del Sol. For inspiration in her work, Dana draws from dictionaries, glossaries and the entire alphabet.
