Ryan Kelly, MFA

A native of Wyoming, Ryan began his writing career in journalism. As a beat reporter and later a sports editor and columnist, he garnered several writing awards. Ryan studied Playwriting at Columbia University. As a playwright and screenwriter, Ryan was the 2000 national winner of the Kennedy Center/American College Theater Festival; was a national finalist for the 2003 Humana Festival and was a national semi-finalist in the 2003 Chesterfield Film Writer’s Project.

His plays have been produced and developed across the country, including Miami, Los Angeles, Denver, New York and London.  His work has been featured by The New Yorker, The National Endowment for the Arts and published by Random House and Samuel French.
