Description:
Many times we’ll find inspiration from our lives or the world around us, but why not just start from scratch? In this workshop we’ll create a brand-new look at life using new language, landscapes, species and history. We’ll take a look at some of our favorite science fiction and fantasy stories and talk about what makes them work. Through short readings, writing exercise, partner activities and sharing our work, we’ll build some believable and exciting characters and worlds of our own.
This workshop will be held on two consecutive Sundays: May 18 and 25, from 1:00-3:30 PM. Students may take one or both of the workshops. The cost of both workshops is $70, and one workshop is $35.
